Air emissions from stationary and mobile sources are regulated by both
federal and local governments in Guam and the Commonwealth of the
Northern Mariana Islands. Standards have been established by the USEPA
for pollutant ground level concentrations in the National Primary and
Secondary Ambient Air Quality Standards (40 CFR 50) for established
sources and the Potential for Significant Deterioration (PSD) requirements
(40 CFR 52.21) for new sources. APEC provides a variety of air emissions
